SELF-REFLECTION
Whether in terms of life and also
to supply the next practice.
To see how far we have been able
to increase the quality of our daily lives need to act to "reckoning
YOURSELF". Usually done at the time of reckoning yourself someone to sleep
every night because at that time was the last time for all the activities that
take place on that day. By REFLECTION ourselves we can audit the extent to
which these changes improve the quality of goodness in our lives.
The Holy Qur'an says: "O
ye who believe, fear Allah and let every soul consider what he has done for
tomorrow (the Hereafter), and fear Allah, for Allah is Aware of what you
do" . (QS. Al-Hasry (59): 18).
The above verse is the verse that
govern us', introspection or self-reckoning on what we have done during this
life. This is very important because otherwise we will count preoccupied with
this life but for eternity default needs. Especially at this time of so many
focused material world.
Living in today's world, if
not careful in choosing friends, a potential 'beside himself'. Forget
that this life is temporary. Forget that there is life after death, that life
hereafter , remember that we of all people, is the only one who got a mammoth
task, the task of the Caliphate, the Creator of us. Forget that this task
should be accountable to his Creator.
In fact, Allah created us as
being the best in the world. For that we are given the task to be caliph on the
earth. In order to build the civilization of the world that is safe, serene and
peaceful with a foundation of devotion to Him, Allah Almighty. Namely by
running his law is not against His laws, even hide it. In fact, we
shall show the greatness of His favor and to the universe. This is the peak of
the real piety.
"And to favor your Lord,
then let you mention it (to Allah) . "(QS.Adh-sun (93): 11).
Ironically, not infrequently we
forget that our time is very limited. THAT a time can call our Creator, without
notice. Because all who go will definitely be back, who was born into this
mortal world would surely leave him back, towards home. From the ground back to
the ground
."For to Us will be their
return, then upon Us is their reckoning." (QS.Al-Ghashiyah (88):
25-26).
Along with the cessation of our
life on earth began eating calculation time or accountability. What have we
done for in life in the world, how we use hearing, sight and hearts.
"And do not follow what
you have no knowledge. The hearing, sight and hearts will all be questioned
" . (QS.Al-Isra (17): 36).
Ali bin Abi Talib said, "The
world is always moving away from human life and the afterlife always moving
toward him. Each of them has children faithful to him. Therefore, be ye as kids
hereafter and do not become a slave to all the world. Indeed, in this world
where work and nothing but the judgment in the afterlife is the time of
judgment, not a charity. "
"A wise man of understanding
is reckoning himself in the world and work for the afterlife while the fool is
the one who always follows his own desires and just like trusted in God without
doing anything." (Tirmidhi).
For this reason, through verse 18
of Surat al-Hasry than Allah reminds us of the reckoning ourselves before the
truth comes judgment. Allah Almighty gives us even greater opportunities to
repent. Of note, we repent in earnest or sincere repentance, not
repentance-repentance, repentance done playing.
"And he who repents and
does good, he surely turns to Allah with true repentance" . (QS.Al-Furqan
(25): 71).
So repentance is accepted by his
repentance is possible because of the remorse, which was followed by acts that
can make or fix mistakes made, if possible. But if not possible, then it will
do as well as possible in the hope that the Creator would forgive the error.
Continuing to pray with hope Allah Almighty also acknowledge mistakes have
anxiety subsided It does not forgive mistakes.
The fault is not just a big
mistake, like murder, adultery and so on. Reverse- mistakes can happen to our
prayers, when typically involves as ripple and show-designate to the people,
then we become people who admire the self or a ripple.
"But woe to those who
pray, (that) those who are neglectful of prayer, that people do to be
seen" . (QS.Al-Maaun (107): 4-6).
Another mistake is shirk and
disbelief. This is the greatest sin which hardly can be forgiven if they do not
repent. It should be noted, Allah Almighty will not accept repentance, when the
soul has done in the esophagus, as did Pharaoh thousands of years ago.
«It is not the repentance of
those who do evil (that) until when death comes to one of them, (then) he
said:" Now I repent "and not (also accepted repentance) the people
who die while they are disbelievers. For people that already have prepared a
painful punishment » . (QS.An-Nisa (4): 18).
Which must be a record.
Calculation not only for what we did to him. But also our actions on fellow
human beings and the environment around us. In fact, it seems our attitudes to
others is more difficult to account for the behavior of God, because according
to his name, he Giver Sorry. While humans are usually hard to give forgiveness.
" In reality- Charity does
not lessen the property, and it is not Allah forgive add a slave because except the glory,
and no person of humble (humble ') because Allah swt but appointed by
God." (HR. Muslim from Abu Hurairah).
From Abu HurairaH that the
Messenger of Allah. said: "The bankruptcy of my people was he who came
together with (good) prayer, fasting and charity, but it also came with a (sin)
accuse, criticize, take the property of others, hurting others. So people are
given the reward goodness itself. To reward his kindness and exhausted, before
admit obligations, taken away their sins and cast on him, and he was thrown
into the fire of hell. (HR. Muslim).
The most important people we
noticed is both our parents. Lest we hurt them for any reason. Even when they
are negligent are reminded in piety, for example. Needed a nice way to give a
warning to them.
Next are neighbors,
good neighbors are Muslim or not. Because, however, they still have rights as a
neighbor. We must not keep the tongue in order not to offend anyone. Because
the tongue is like a sword that's difficult to improve if we use it wrongly.
Talking slander and sheep is very deed should be avoided.
"And not one of you swear
at each other. Would one of you eat the flesh of his dead brother? So you would
have disgusted him. And fear Allah. For Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful
taubah, "(Al-Hujarat: 12).
"If what you say it does
exist in itself mean that you have contracted and when what is said is not true
then you have slandered him," (Muslim, [2589]).
In other words reflection is
needed among others:
1. To take back our position in
this world, as servants of God and inheritors of the earth also. So therefore
reflect not mean renouncing the world. On the contrary, they increase charity
earthly life as a preparation for the afterlife. World is the next farm. So any
knowledge that we demand in which we live or work shall be in accordance with
his wishes. Always comply with the laws of Allah.
The Prophet said, "Whoever
desires the happiness of the world, have the knowledge, and he who seeks
happiness in the hereafter have to the science and whoever desires the
happiness of them (and Hereafter) should also be science. (HR Tabarani).
2. Improve and increase our
deeds. From that prayer is not a prayer, a prayer of not 5 hours to 5 hours and
in the early hours, add sunnah prayers as prayers rawatib, birds, pray etc. Or
pray in congregation in the mosque, especially for men when Fajr and Isha.
Reading Al-Quran and give priority, than finishing just in the month of
Ramadan, fasting in Ramadan only, to add
to the sunnah fasts, such as fasting on Monday-Thursday and so on.
3. Improve character and
friendship.
The Prophet said: "Verily, I
am sent to perfect good character"; "Religion is good morals";
"The most perfect believers are the most perfect character";
"The Prophet asked:" What is most leads man to heaven? ". He
said: "good morals"; "What is the most leads man to hell?".
He said: "The mouth and genitals." (Narrated by Tirmidhi).
4. Remind limited lifespan.
"He who takes your souls
at night, and He knows what you do during the day, then He raises you in the
day to accomplish (your life) that have been determined, then to Allah is your
return, and He will tell you what you used to do . "(QS.Al-An'am (6):
60).
Thus, when the future comes true
day of judgment, God will expedite the processing. These were the ones given
his Record Book in his right hand.
'The person who provided the
book (record) book in his right hand, he will be judged by a simple judgment
. "(QS.Al Insyiqaq (84): 7-8).
Ibn Mas'ud reported that the
Prophet Muhammad. that he said, 'Do not move your feet ibn Adam on the Day of
Judgment until he is asked about five things: equal to what they spend, where
he used his youth, his wealth from where he acquired it and where given, and
the extent of its practice of science. " (HR. Turmudzi).
It should be remembered, for any
charity someone actually we may not able to reciprocate the love of the
Creator. Similarly, the impossibility of a child reciprocate affection to two
parents. Because only thanks to his grace nevertheless a person can go to
heaven.
"And if not for the
grace of Allah and His blessings on you, and (if) God is Accepting of
repentance and Wise, (ye had been undone)" . (QS.An-Nuur (24:10).
