CHARITY ON FRIDAY
Charity on Friday holds a very great virtue because Friday is the most noble day in Islam.Virtues of Friday Charity:Chief of All Days: Friday (Sayyidul Ayyam) is the best day. Good deeds done on this day carry a higher reward compared to ordinary days.Multiplied Rewards: Scholars state that the reward for righteous deeds, including charity, is multiplied on Friday, similar to the virtue of doing good deeds in sacred months.Angels' Prayers: Every Friday morning, angels descend and pray to Allah SWT to grant a good replacement to those who love to give charity and infaq (spending in Allah's way).Coinciding with the Responding Hour (Waktu Mustajab): Friday contains a special responding hour (maqbul) where prayers are easily answered. It is very good if charity is followed by supplication.Eradicating Sins: Giving charity sincerely helps quench the wrath of Allah SWT and erases our minor sins.Among the easy and practical ways to practice Friday charity are consistently contributing small amounts of money, giving food in charity, or performing digital infaq. Here are some easy ways to give charity on Friday that you can practice:1. Consistently Giving Financial CharitySpecial charity box at home: Prepare a dedicated box at home or the office. Put in small amounts of money like RM1, RM5, or RM10 every time after completing Friday prayers, then hand it over to a charitable organization once it is full.Mosque donation box: Drop some paper money or coins into the Friday collection box when attending prayers at the mosque.Online charity: Use internet banking facilities or smartphone apps to channel contributions to mosque infaq funds, orphanages, or verified charitable organizations.2. Giving Food and DrinksFajr / Friday charity: Buy or prepare some small pastries, bread, boxed drinks, or mineral water bottles to leave on mosque/surau shelves for needy congregants to take.Treating family or friends: Buy breakfast or lunch for family members, parents, or colleagues as a sign of care.3.
